Biography

Senior standout and returning national qualifier who should be a top All-America contender at 149 pounds this season . . . Is determined to make up for last year’s national tournament disappointment and has all the tools needed to succeed . . . Will be a key weapon for the Bronchos in the middle of the lineup with his ability to score bonus points and is poised to finish career in style . . . Came to UCO after two years at Labette (Kan.) Community College.
 
2014-15:  Put together an outstanding junior season, going 28-13 with 10 falls and six major decisions . . . Won titles at the Fort Hays State Open and Newman Invitational while finishing runner-up at the Swede Open and UNK Open . . . Started season 17-2 with a 10-match winning streak before hitting tough stretch, but rebounded in the regional tournament with clutch third-place finish to qualify for nationals . . . Lost first match at regional before bouncing back with three falls and a major decision to take third . . . Lost two straight matches at nationals to eventual All-Americans.
 
2013-14:  Sat out redshirt year.
 
Juco:  Earned All-America honors with fourth-place national finish at 149 as a sophomore in 2012-13 to help lead the Cardinals capture their second straight national title.
 
High School:  Three-time state runner-up at Grove High School, earning All-State accolades as a senior.
 
Personal:  Industrial safety major . . . Names “Vision Quest” as his favorite sports movie . . . Lists Jimi Hendrix as his top musician . . . Birthdate is Nov. 11, 1992.
