Senior veteran and two-time All-American slated to once again fill a spot in the middle of the lineup at 149 pounds . . . Is the fourth-highest returning placer back from last year and is determined to vie for the national title in 2007 . . . Team leader and a tough competitor who enters his final year with great confidence . . . Has no peer when in control on the mat, owning a variety of pinning combinations, and has improved every year on his feet.

2005-06: Finished 26-11 with a team-high seven falls and earned All-American accolades with a sixth-place national finish . . . Was runner-up at the Midwest Regional, losing 4-2 finals decision to eventual national champion Tony Guerra of Findlay, and opened the national meet with a pair of one-point decisions . . . Fell in sudden-victory in the semifinals and then lost his next two consolation matches to take sixth . . . Reeled off 13 straight wins during one stretch, taking the Colorado Collegiate Invitational title in that span.

2004-05: Missed two months to injury, but still managed to go 19-10 and finish seventh at the national tournament . . . Qualified for nationals with runner-up finish at the Midwest Regional, losing in the finals to Guerra . . . Won first-round match at nationals, then lost to eventual national champion Pacifico Garcia of San Francisco State in the quarterfinals . . . Came back to win his first consolation match before losing and ended the tournament with a 4-2 triumph in the seventh-place match.

2003-04: Started most of the year at 157, finishing 17-14 . . . Finished fifth in the regional to miss out on the national tournament . . . Placed fourth in the Central Missouri State Open.

2002-03: Redshirted while competing in open tournaments.

High School: Four-time state placer at Carbon High School, finishing career with 126-23 record and 65 falls . . . Was 30-3 with 20 falls in winning state title as a senior . . . Also lettered in baseball and football.

Personal: A business major . . . Enjoys hunting and fishing as his main hobbies . . . Brother (Jerod) wrestled at what was then Southern Colorado . . . Birthdate is May 18, 1984.
