? NCAA Division II All-American ('05-06)

Two-year starter and returning All-American ready to once again be UCO’s main 125-pounder . . . In the fourth-highest placer back from last year and should be in the thick of the national championship hunt in 2007 . . . Hard-nosed competitor who doesn’t back away in battles against the best and will be counted on heavily this season . . . Had off-season shoulder surgery, but is fully recovered from that and is ready for a banner junior campaign . . . Has improved every year and should benefit from the success of last season.

2005-06: Earned All-America honors with a sixth-place national tournament finish and ended with a 20-14 record, missing three tournaments to injury . . . Qualified for the national meet with a runner-up showing at the Midwest Regional, winning 5-1 and 8-5 decisions before falling in the finals to Ashland’s Mike Compton . . . Opened the national tournament with a 6-4 win, then fell to eventual runner-up Jamie Thomas of Shippensburg before rebounding with two wins to reach the consolation semifinals . . . Lost his final two bouts to finish sixth . . . Keyed win over Nebraska-Kearney in the quarterfinals of the NWCA Division II National Duals with a 3-1 sudden-victory upset of No. 2-ranked Trevor Charboneau . . . Placed fifth in the season-opening Central Missouri State Open.

2004-05: Held down the starting spot all season, finishing 16-18 with four bonus-point wins . . . Faced six eventual Division II All-Americans during the season . . . Had a clutch third-period fall to spark season-ending 25-18 dual win over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

2003-04: Sat out redshirt year while competing in several open tournaments.

High School: Four-year starter and two-time state placer at Edmond Memorial High School, finishing with 89-14 career record . . . Two-time Daily Oklahoman Big All-City pick and an All-Stater as a senior after finishing as state runner-up.

Personal: A marketing major . . . Lists noodling as one of his main off-mat interests . . . Birthdate is April 26, 1985.
