Biography

Returning All-American poised to be a top national championship contender … Came in last year as a Division I transfer, took over starting berth at 125 pounds and enjoyed solid season in establishing himself as one of the best in the country … Intense competitor with loads of offensive firepower and should be a big-time point producer for the Bronchos at the top of the lineup … Ready to make up for ending last season on disappointing note … Remains a junior eligibility-wise after the NCAA elected not to count the shortened 2020-21 season … Spent three years at Division I Campbell before coming to UCO.

2020-21: Put together 9-3 record and opened the season with five straight bonus-point wins … Went 4-0 in duals, then won regional title in qualifying for nationals … Opened regional with 15-3 rout, followed by easy 8-2 win and 4-0 finals shutout … Moved into semifinals at Division II Championships with 7-2 and 7-4 wins before losing three straight in finishing sixth … Fell in semifinals to eventual champion Cole Laya of West Liberty, then dropped consecutive one-point decisions.

Campbell: Redshirted in 2017-18 and saw limited action the next two years at both 125 and 133 … Three-time Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll selection for the Camels.

High School: Four-time state placer and two-time state champion at Edmond North High School … Finished with 138-17 career record … Also a USA Wrestling freestyle All-American.

Personal: Mechanical engineering major … Enjoys fishing and hunting as hobbies … Names the Dallas Cowboys as his favorite team … Lists Tyler Childers as his top musician … Birthdate is Aug. 7, 1998.
