Former starter set to push for the starting assignment at 165 pounds . . . Had strong season while starting at 174 as a redshirt freshman in 2015-16, then saw limited duty in a at 165 last year . . . Has the experience to be a major contributor for the Bronchos and an experienced junior veteran eager to get back in the lineup.

2016-17:  Competed in one dual and one open tournament at 165, going 2-2.

2015-16:  Earned starting berth from the outset at 174 and wrestled in 44 matches, finishing 29-15 with 15 bonus-point wins . . . Was second on the team with nine falls while adding four major decisions and two technical falls . . . Won the freshman-sophomore division of the Oklahoma City Open, was runner-up in both the Lindenwood Open and Jet Invitational and took third at the Fort Hays State Open . . . Placed sixth in the NCAA Division II West Regional. 

2014-15:  Wrestled in three open tournaments during redshirt year, going 12-4 with six falls and one major decision . . . Placed third in the Oklahoma City Open, coming back after a first-round loss to win six straight matches.

High School:  Three-year starter at Bixby High School, finishing with 107 career wins . . . First-team All-Vype Magazine selection and Academic All-Conference . . . Also a football and track letterman for the Spartans.

Personal:  Education major . . . Father (Jim) played football at Oklahoma State . . . Enjoys snowboarding among his hobbies . . . Birthdate is Nov. 21, 1995.
