Returning starter and national qualifier who is dropping down a weight this season . . . Started all last year at 174 pounds as a redshirt freshman, but is set to move to 165 and is the early front-runner to take over the top spot there . . . Will face a stiff challenge to come out on top, but definitely has the experience advantage and has shown that he can be a productive member of the lineup . . . Battled inconsistency last year, but owns a wide range of talents and this sophomore is capable of becoming a major force . . . Will only get better with more time and should really benefit from last year’s experience.

2006-07: Started all year at 174, finishing 18-16 with 10 bonus-point wins . . . Rolled through the field in the freshman-sophomore division of the Missouri Open, winning three major decisions and a technical fall en route to that title . . . Was seeded fifth at the Midwest Regional, but won a pair of consolation matches in taking fifth and qualifying for the national tournament . . . Had one of the biggest upsets on the first day at nationals, knocking off No. 2-ranked Tommy Clark of West Liberty State 4-2 in the first round in helping spark UCO to the team title . . . Was knocked out of the tournament after that with back-to-back close losses to eventual All-Americans.
