Biography

Returning 141-pound starter who could make the move to 149 this season … Showed what he can do last year in holding his own against some of the nation’s best and should benefit from that experience … Hard-working junior who keeps pressing the attack and competes until the final whistle … Redshirted his first year in 2021-22, lettered in back-up role the next season and earned injury hardship in 2023-24 before stepping into starting last year.

2024-25: Took over top spot at 141 after Dylan Lucas was shelved by injury and went on to a stellar sophomore season, finishing 21-4 with 11 bonus-point wins … Won titles at the Falcon and Drury opens, going 5-0 in both events, and followed with four straight dual wins to open 14-0 … Keyed UCO’s 20-15 win over Wisconsin-Parkside in NWCA Division II National Duals quarterfinals with 10-7 upset of then-No. 1-ranked Cayden Henschel … Finished fourth at Super Regional IV Tournament to just miss national tournament berth … Opened that tourney with first-period fall, then dropped tough 4-2 semifinal decision to eventual champion and All-American Ronan Schuelke of McKendree … Rebounded with 7-2 win to make consolation finals, but lost heartbreaking 4-1 sudden-death decision to Quincy’s Sabian Russell.

2023-24: Suffered season-ending injury during first competition of the year at the Broncho Open in early November.

2022-23: Lettered in back-up role at 141, fashioning fine 14-4 record with seven bonus wins … Went 5-1 with three first-period falls and a major decision before reaching six-match limit at Dan Harris Open … Had four wins in making consolation finals in freshman-sophomore division of the Lindenwood Open before withdrawing due to injury … Went 3-1 in four duals.

2021-22: Had 13-5 record with nine bonus wins while competing in four open tournaments during redshirt year … Runner-up in both the Viking and Jet opens …Had two major decisions and first-period fall in the Jet … Went 5-1 in Golden Norse Open before reaching six-match limit in the one-day event.

High School: Enjoyed sensational career at Skiatook High School, winning four Class 4A state championships … Went perfect 28-0 as a senior in earning All-State honors and had 109-9 career record.

Personal: Physical education/health major … Class president at SHS … Enjoys playing the guitar as a hobby … Names Zach Bryan as his favorite musician … Birthdate is Aug. 11, 2002.
