Former All-American eager to reclaim his position at the end of the lineup . . . Started much of last year and was battling Chris Finn for the top spot before suffering a broken hand late in the season . . . Faces a stiff challenge to get back the starting berth, but a proven winner and dedicated senior veteran who has been a consistent force the last two years . . . Strong, aggressive 250-pounder with great conditioning and is always moving forward . . . Will definitely be in the hunt for the national championship if he’s in the lineup and is ready for a banner season.

2005-06: Was 21-5 and ranked fourth in the country before breaking hand in practice in early February . . . Had won 13 straight matches when his season ended, capped by a dramatic last second 4-3 triumph over eventual national runner-up Tervel Dlagnev of Nebraska-Kearney that gave UCO a 19-18 win over the Antelopes . . . Had 10 bonus-point wins, collecting six falls and four major decisions . . . Won the Colorado Collegiate Invitational title, was runner-up at the Central Missouri State Open and finished third at the Fort Hays State Open.

2004-05: Won a team-high 35 matches and was the only individual to place in every tournament during a sensational sophomore season . . . Captured Midwest Regional title with three straight wins, then opened the national tournament with two wins to make the semifinals. . . Dropped a 5-3 decision there and lost an overtime tiebreaker in the consolation semis before finishing with a 6-5 win over Dlagnev in the fifth-place match . . . Finished 35-14 with nine bonus-point wins . . . Went 9-3 in matches decided by one point or in overtime . . . Was runner-up in the Oklahoma Open, third at the Fort Hays State Open and fifth at the Central Missouri State and Nebraska-Omaha opens.

2003-04: Competed in three open tournaments while redshirting, finishing second in the freshman-sophomore division of the Nebraska Oklahoma Open and fifth at the Central Missouri State Open.

2002-03: Came in as a true freshman and was the starter the majority of the season before being beaten off the team just before the Midwest Regional . . . Finished 14-18 with five falls and one major decision while going up against some of the top heavyweights in the country, losing to five eventual All-Americans.

High School: Four-sport star at Pawnee High School, earning All State honors in football and wrestling . . . Four-year starter on the mat, finishing with a 110-24 career record . . . Went 37-0 with 32 falls in winning state championship as a senior . . . Also lettered in baseball and track.

Personal: A physical education/health major who aspires to become an athletic director . . . Enjoys fishing and camping as his main hobbies . . . Ranks Muhammad Ali as his favorite athlete . . . Birthdate is Aug. 6, 1984.
