Biography

Veteran lightweight looking to help out at 133 pounds this season . . . Has battled injuries throughout his career and hasn’t competed since 2015-16.

2015-16:  Had a 7-6 record with four major decisions and one fall . . . Placed third in the Jet Invitational. 

2014-15:  Placed in two open tournaments and was set to challenge for starting job at 125 before suffering injury and sitting out rest of the season . . . Went 10-3 with six bonus-point wins in taking fourth at the Swede Open and third at the Nebraska-Kearney Open ... Was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2013-14:  Didn’t make season debut until the NWCA Division II National Duals in January and ended up going 9-9 with two bonus-point wins at 125 . . . Dropped 9-5 overtime decision to eventual national champion Ben Sergent of Findlay in his first collegiate match . . . Won four straight during one stretch . . . Placed fourth in the MIAA Championships . . . Went 2-2 in the regional tournament.

High School:  Three-time state qualifier at Edmond North High School, finishing with a 77-18 career record . . . Third-place state finisher and an All-State selection as a senior after helping lead the Huskies to their first-ever state title.

Personal:  Father (Stephen) and three uncles wrestled at the University of Oklahoma . . . Active member of UCO’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee . . . Birthdate is April 11, 1995.
