Biography

Senior veteran and returning 157-pound starter who is the front-runner to retain that position in 2015-16 . . . Will face a stiff challenge to stay No. 1, but has the talent and experience to do just that . . . Rugged, physical grappler capable of doing big things for the Bronchos, a former junior college All-American ready to finish with a flourish . . . Came to UCO after two seasons at Labette (Kan.) Community College.
 
2014-15:  Started all year and finished with a 16-17 record . . . Placed third in the Swede Open, going 5-1 in that event, and earned All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honors with third-place showing in the league tourney . . . Had 20 matches decided by two points or less or in overtime.
 
2013-14:  Participated in one open tournament while sitting out redshirt year, placing fourth in the Oklahoma City Open.
 
Juco:  Helped lead the Cardinals to back-to-back national championships . . . Was fifth-place national finisher at 149 pounds as a freshman and earned repeat All-America honors the following season at 157 with another fifth-place effort.
 
High School:  Enjoyed sensational career at Sallisaw High School in joining an elite group of four-time state champions . . . Was undefeated (40-0) as a junior and scored technical fall in Class 4A state finals as a senior while earning All-State honors . . . Finished 157-4 for his career and was a two-time USA Wresting junior All-American . . . Also lettered in football for the Black Diamonds.
 
Personal:  Industrial safety major . . . Enjoys playing video games in his spare time . . . Younger brother (Jadon) is a redshirt freshman teammate with the Bronchos . . . Names “The Sandlot” as his favorite sports movie . . . Lists Kings of Leon as his top musical group . . . Birthdate is March 5, 1992.
