Biography

Former All-American and senior veteran back for another crack at a national championship … Third-place national finisher at 165 pounds two years ago and was national qualifier at that weight last season … Moving up to 174 in 2025-26 and should shine in his new spot in the lineup … Eager to atone for disappointing end to last season and finish his career with a flourish … Never out of a match with relentless style, a hard-nosed competitor who keeps going until the final whistle … Hard to score on and will be a prime point-producer for the Bronchos … Redshirted his first year, then didn’t wrestle in 2020-21 and retained a year of eligibility after the NCAA didn’t count that shortened season … Solid starter in 2021-22 who came up just short of qualifying for national tournament, earned hardship ruling after missing the following season to injury and was an All-American in 2023-24 … Started again all last season and enters final campaign with 67-23 career record.

2024-25: Started all season and ended up 17-7 with 11 bonus-point victories … Placed sixth in rugged Midwest Classic, following second-round defeat with four straight easy wins to make the consolation semifinals before injury defaulting last two matches … Picked up big 4-1 sudden-victory win to help key UCO’s 19-12 dual win over eventual national champion Nebraska-Kearney … Captured second straight Super Regional IV Tournament title at the toughest weight … Opened with first-period fall, followed with tough 4-3 semifinal win and cruised to gold medal with 8-0 major decision … Was seeded fifth at nationals, but suffered two straight losses and failed to place.

2023-24: Assumed the top spot at 165 from the outset and went on to finish 25-8 with 11 bonus wins … Won Drury Open title with three easy wins and an overtime victory in the finals … Suffered three straight overtime losses during one stretch in falling to 9-6 on the season, then went 16-2 the rest of the way … Earned first national tournament berth with title-winning effort at the Super Regional IV Tournament … Picked up first-round forfeit before claiming 7-3 and 5-1 wins … Was seeded fifth at nationals and opened with 8-3 victory … Knocked off No. 4 seed Nicholas Coreno of Gannon in the quarterfinals, then dropped wild 10-8 semifinal decision to top seed and eventual champion Daniel Hunsberger of Landers … Rebounded with 15-3 major decision in consolation semis before topping third-seeded Cory Peterson of McKendree 4-1 in sudden victory to take the bronze medal … Wrestled seven overtime matches on the season, going 4-3.

2022-23: Was set to battle for starting berth at 174 before suffering early injury … Won season-opening dual and started Dan Harris Open with a technical fall and fall, then broke his collarbone and missed rest of the year.

2021-22: Had solid season for the Bronchos, finishing 22-7 with 10 bonus wins … Finishing fourth in the Super Regional IV Tournament to fall just short of earning national tournament berth … Dropped 4-3 decision in first round at regionals, but rebounded with 12-2, 19-3 and 8-6 wins before falling 4-2 in the consolation finals … Notched two falls in claiming Viking Open title and also had two pins in winning the Jet Open … Runner-up in freshman-sophomore division of the Lindenwood Open and placed fourth in season-opening Dan Harris Open … Put together a pair of seven-match winning streaks.

2020-21: Didn’t compete.

2019-20: Wrestled in two open tournaments, going 4-3 … Runner-up in Oklahoma City Open at 165.

High School: Four-time state finalist, finishing runner-up as a freshman and sophomore before winning titles his final two years … Spent first three years at Lawton MacArthur High School and then moved to Duncan as a senior, finished 40-1 with 33 falls … Ended with sensational 158-13 career record … Also a football letterman.
