Biography

Fifth-year junior ready to fight for starting spot at 125 pounds … Has battled for the position each of the last two years and will be in the running again this season … Has gained plenty of experience throughout his career and capable of handling the job … Gritty, hard-working veteran who is at his best when in control on the mat … Retained a season of eligibility when the NCAA didn’t count the COVID-shortened season, then redshirted in 2021-22 … Saw some starting duty each of past two years.

2023-24: Missed first semester to injury and finished 5-7 while competing in eight duals and the Regional IV Tournament … Dropped 7-6 decision in first round at regionals before rebounding with 3-0 and 6-4 wins to make the consolation finals, but was denied national tournament berth with tough 6-4 loss in finishing fourth.

2022-23: Competed in four tournaments and five duals, finishing 14-8 with six bonus-point wins … Runner-up to in Dan Harris Open and was co-third with teammate Guy Clevenger in Drury Open in addition to taking sixth at Lindenwood Open … Bumped up to 133 in the duals, going 2-3 with a first-period fall and 16-0 technical fall.

2021-22: Had 14-2 record with seven bonus wins during redshirt season … Competed in four open tournaments, placing in top four each time … Claimed Jet Open title with three bonus wins and a 1-0 shutout … Had first-period fall and two shutouts in capturing Golden Norse Open crown … Runner-up in freshman-sophomore division of Lindenwood Open and was co-third with Morris in Dan Harris Open.

2020-21: Wasn’t tested in limited action, going 5-0 with four bonus-point wins while competing in two duals and three exhibitions … Recorded two first-period falls and outscored other three opponents a combined 42-5 while notching two technical falls.

High School: Prep standout at powerhouse Tuttle High School … Three-time state finalist, winning two titles, before missing senior year to injury … Also a Junior National All-American.

Personal: Physical education/health major looking to become a teacher and wrestling coach … Father (Todd) is UCO’s head coach … Enjoys hunting as a hobby … Names the Minnesota Vikings as his favorite team … Lists AC/DC as his top musical group … Birthdate is Sept. 8, 2000.
