Former junior college All-American expected to be in the mix for starting job at 174 pounds … Part-time starter at that weight two years ago and has shown what he’s capable of … Experienced veteran with plenty of offensive weapons … Came to UCO after stellar two-year career at Barton (Kan.) Community College … Retained year of eligibility after the NCAA didn’t court the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season.

2020-21: Competed in one dual, earning 10-1 major decision against Emmanuel.

2019-20: Filled starting role the first semester, then was in-and-out of the lineup in the second while battling for top spot … Had 10 bonus-point wins in finishing with 14-7 record … Scored at least 10 points in eight matches … Runner-up at the Oklahoma City Open and Golden Norse opens, losing to Oklahoma State’s Gavin Stika in the finals both times … Made Golden Norse finals with 15-0 and 17-1 technical falls along with first-period fall …

Juco: Two-time national qualifier at Barton, making it at 165 pounds as a freshman and 174 as a sophomore … Won regional title and finished fourth in national tournament in 2018-19 to earn All-America honors.
