Sophomore letterman who should contend for a starting berth at 149 this season . . . Saw action at 149 and 157 last year and will benefit from gaining that much-needed experience . . . Aggressive grappler on his feet with excellent fundamentals . . . Will push for more action in 2005-06 and should continue to improve with mat time.

2004-05:  Went 7-8 while wrestling in three open tournaments and five duals . . . Went 2-0 at 157, including a big first-period fall that sparked UCO to a 18-16 win over Minnesota State-Mankato at the NWCA Division II National Duals.

2003-04:  Redshirted while wrestling in two open tournaments, finishing fifth at the Central Missouri State Open at 149.

High School:  Multi-sport standout at Norton Community High School . . . Four-time state finalist, winning two titles, and had an impressive 116-12 career record with 327 takedowns . . . Also an All-League pick in football and a three-year track letterman.

Personal:  A kinesiology and fitness management major . . . Father (Billy) was the first-ever four-time All-American at Fort Hays State from 1985-89 . . . Birthdate is Oct. 31, 1984.
