Senior standout and a top challenger for the 133-pound national championship . . . Returning All-American coming off a fine junior campaign, but is ineligible the first semester . . . Will see action in open tournaments the first half of the season and then will face a tough challenge from former All-American Jared Henning in the second semester . . . Definitely one of the bets in the country and is determined to end his career with a national title . . . Powerfully-built veteran who has great explosiveness and a fantastic defensive wrestler with unmatched determination on the mat . . . Owns a 92-14 career record in college.

2005-06: Battled with Henning for the top spot in the lineup most of the first semester before finally coming out on top and went on to go 36-8 and finish third in the national tournament . . . Qualified for nationals with a third-place showing at the Midwest Regional, getting a pair of falls in overcoming a 3-2 loss to Indianapolis’ Shane Perkey . . . Opened the national meet with two easy wins before falling 2-1 in the semifinals to eventual national champion Brett Allgood of Nebraska-Kearney . . . Bounced back with two consolation wins to take third, including a 7-1 victory over Perkey in the consolation finals . . . Had two close bouts with Allgood in the regular season, splitting two sudden-victory decisions . . . Won the Colorado Collegiate Invitational title, was runner-up at the Nebraska-Omaha Open and third at the Central Missouri State Open . . . Won 11 straight matches during one stretch and finished with nine bonus-point victories.

Juco: Had outstanding career at Labette (Kan.) Community College, winning back-to-back national championships and going 56-6 . . . Was named Outstanding Wrestler at the national tournament in leading Labette to the team title as a sophomore, finishing with a 27-1 record.

High School: Four-time state finalist at Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kan., winning three titles and finishing runner-up once . . . Compiled an amazing 148-6 career record.

Personal: A general studies major . . . Birthdate is Feb. 26, 1985.
