2008-09: Started the season at 149, but dropped to 141 in mid-November and went on to go 32-16 with 13 bonus-point wins . . . Was 28-12 at 141, placing third in the Fort Hays State and Central Missouri opens and fourth at the Missouri Valley Open . . . Qualified for the national meet with a fourth-place finish at the regional . . . Opened the national tournament with a tough 7-4 loss to eventual champion Doug Surra of West Liberty State and then was eliminated with a loss in the consolations.
2007-08: Put together a 26-15 record at 149 en route to earning All-America honors with a sixth-place national tournament finish . . . Had 16 bonus-point wins with a team-high eight major decisions, seven falls and a technical fall . . . Placed in all five tournaments, capped by a championship effort at the Fort Hays State Open . . . Qualified for nationals with a runner-up showing at the regional, opening with back-to-back shutouts before falling in the finals . . . Had a 9-4 victory and second-period fall at the national tournament to make the semifinals, then lost three straight in finishing sixth.
2006-07: Went 22-6 with 15 bonus wins as a part-time starter . . . Wrestled in four tournaments and six duals, winning the freshman-sophomore division of the Missouri Open while taking third at the Oklahoma and Fort Hays State opens.
2005-06: Competed in several open tournaments while sitting out a redshirt year, placing fourth at the Roger Denker Open.
