Graduate Assistant Wrestling Coach

In his third year as a graduate assistant coach for Central Oklahoma is Zachary Moore, who finished his career with the Bronchos in 2020.

Moore transferred to UCO from West Virginia for the 2019-20 campaign and finished 26-8 with a team-high 14 falls -- 10 in the first period -- in qualifying for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships at 165 pounds.

He battled for the starting spot all season at 149 before bumping all the way to 165 for the Super Regional IV Tournament and went 5-1 to finish third there, winning his last two matches in sudden-victory. Zachary was denied a chance at All-America honors when the national tournament was canceled by the global health crisis.

Moore spent four years at West Virginia, seeing substantial starting duty for the Mountaineers at 149 and 157. He finished with a 40-39 career record.

Zachary was a two-time Class 6A state finalist at Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, finishing runner-up as a junior before going 32-0 in winning the state title in his final season.
