Returning All-American who ranks as one of the top contenders for the heavyweight national championship . . . Is the second-highest returning placer back from last year, but faces a stiff challenge from former All-American Josh LeadingFox in the battle for the starting berth . . . Strong, physical veteran with great balance who weighs in at the heavyweight limit of 285 pounds . . . Also a football mainstay for the Bronchos, though he was forced to the sidelines by a back injury in the fall . . . Will definitely be a top challenger for the national title if he’s in the lineup.

2005-06: Started most of the 2005 football season at defensive tackle and joined the team in December . . . Saw split duty most of the second semester before taking over the fulltime starting role late in the season and went on to earn All-America honors with a sixth-place national finish . . . Won the Midwest Regional title with a major decision, fall and 6-3 win and then opened the national tournament with a pair of close wins . . . Dropped a tough 3-0 semifinal decision to four-time champion Les Sigman of Nebraska-Omaha and followed with two consolation losses in finishing sixth . . . Placed second at the Fort Hays State Open in his first action of the year . . . Finished 12-8 with six falls.

2004-05: Sat out redshirt year.

2003-04: Joined the team in December and went on to finish 16-10 with six falls . . . Finished fifth at the Midwest Regional to just miss out on a national tournament berth, falling to a pair of eventual All-Americans . . . Had clutch 5-3 win in the final match to lift UCO to a 17-16 dual win over Division III champion Wartburg at the Lone Star Duals.

High School: Football-wrestling star at Westmoore High School, earning All-State honors in each sport . . . State champion as a senior on the mat and also enjoyed great success in freestyle and Greco-Roman as a six-time All-American and four-time national champion.

Personal: A finance major . . . Father (John) was a three-year wrestling letterman at UCO in the late-1970s . . . Birthdate is Feb. 9, 1984.
