Biography


Senior veteran ready to end his career with a flourish this season . . . Showed last year that he can be a major contributor and is one of the favorites to take over at 149 pounds . . . Three-year letterman who has gotten better every year and an aggressive grappler with great tenacity . . . Has paid his dues the past four years and is eager to be the main man in his final season.

2006-07: Had a solid junior campaign, finishing 17-7 with five major decisions and a fall . . . Went 8-1 in taking third at the one-day Central Missouri Open . . . Also had a fourth-place showing at the Fort Hays State Open, beating eventual All-American Mark Pfeifer of Chadron State 3-2 in that tournament.

2005-06: Was 4-6 while wrestling in several open tournaments.

2004-05: Went 4-7 in open tournaments.

2003-04: Redshirted while competing in seven open tournaments.

High School: Two-time All-Stater at East High School in Plano . . . State runner-up as a senior and finished with a 96-19 career record.

Personal: A physical education/health major who would like to become a high school wrestling coach . . . Birthdate is June 25, 1984.
