Biography

Returning All-American who should be a top national contender at 174 or 184 pounds in 2023-24 … Resilient, hard-working senior veteran coming off breakthrough season and will get a big boost from last year’s success … Has made amazing improvement throughout course of his career and is eager to finish in style … Rugged, physical grappler with great strength and durability … Has 60 career wins to his credit and ready to add to that … Retained a year of eligibility after the NCAA didn’t count the shortened 2020-21 campaign.

2022-23: Started at 174 and 184 all season, finishing 31-8 with 13 bonus-point wins … Had 11-1 record at 184 and went 20-7 at 174 … Opened at 184 and was co-champion with teammate Garrett Wells in the Dan Harris Open … Dropped to 174 for next two tournaments, finishing runner-up at the Lindenwood and Drury opens … Went back to 184 for the Midwest Classic, taking second with tough 3-2 finals loss … Returned to 174 for the NWCA Division II National Duals and stayed there the rest of the way … Qualified for national tournament with championship effort at Super Regional IV Tournament … Cruised to that title with 6-0 shutout, second-period fall and 8-1 finals rout … Was seeded fifth at nationals and won 7-3 in first round before falling to the No. 4 seed … Came back with 4-2 win, lost to No. 2 seed in consolation quarterfinals and then finished with 6-3 victory to claim seventh place in earning All-America honors …

2021-22: Put together 15-10 record with seven bonus wins while competing in four tournaments and seven duals … Capped title-winning effort at Golden Norse Open with 11-0 finals rout … Also placed third in the season-opening Dan Harris Open and fourth in the Lindenwood Open.

2020-21: Went 2-1 in three appearances during Central’s shortened dual season … Scored 29 points in two wins, earning 14-7 win and 15-3 major decision.

2019-20: Competed at 157 and 165, putting together 11-12 record with six bonus wins … Went 9-5 in three open tournaments at 157 the first semester … Rebounded from first-round loss at Lindenwood Open with five straight consolation wins, but couldn’t continue after reaching six-match, one-day limit … Bumped up to  165 early in second semester to take over when starter went out with injury and had 2-7 mark there with several close losses.

2018-19: Competed in three open tournaments during redshirt year, finishing with 6-6 record that including two falls and a major decision.

High School: State qualifier at 145 pounds as a senior at Edmond North High School.

Personal: Criminal justice major looking to become a crime scene investigator ... Moved to Edmond from California the summer before his senior year ... Names the Pittsburgh Steelers as his top professional team ... Lists "Sandlot" as his favorite sports movie ... Birthdate is Nov. 4, 2000.
