Ana Naranjo Martinez joined the program, as a Graduate Assistant, in January 2026 and made an immediate impact.
In her first year with the Bronchos, the team claimed both the MIAA regular season and post-season titles with a conference record of 8-1. UCO went on to host the NCAA Division II Central Regionals and finished the year with a 18-4 record overall. Martinez helped coach all six starters who earned All-MIAA honors, including two All-Americans.
In 2026, Ana Naranjo Martinez was named ITA Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
Prior to UCO, Martinez competed at the University of Tulsa with records of 53-22 in singles and 81-39 in doubles. The four-year letterwinner ended her career ranked ninth in program history for her 81 career doubles victories. In 2025, she ranked as high as 58th in the ITA Doubles Rankings.
In 2024, she earned the American Conference Doubles Title and was named UTR Sports NIT Championship Women's MVP. Martinez was a four-time ITA Scholar Athlete and a three-time CSC Academic All-District Selection.
Originally from Michoacan, Mexico, Ana attended Tecnológico de Monterrey PrepaNet high school.
