Biography
Dominating force in the paint who can take over a game with her scoring, rebounding and shot-blocking prowess . . . Returned to the court after a two-year layoff last season and struggled some early before really taking off the second semester . . . Is tough to stop underneath the basket with her size and strength while also showcasing good shooting range out to 15 feet . . . Played one year at Oklahoma State before coming to UCO and redshirting . . . Will join the team after finishing her third year of volleyball with the Bronchos.
2010-11: Was virtually unstoppable down the stretch in keying UCO’s late-season run to the Sweet 16 . . . Averaged 22.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots a game in six post-season contests while shooting 59. percent (52-of-87) from the field, earning all-tournament honors in the Lone Star Conference Tournament and South Central Regional . . . Had 26 points, 19 rebounds (fourth-best game in school history) and four blocks in overtime win over Tarleton State in LSC semifinals . . . Scored career-high 28 points in both the LSC and regional finals . . . Averaged 12.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks a game for the season, making 14 starts in 29 games . . . Scored 20-plus points six times, five of those coming in the final eight games . . . Ranked fourth in the LSC in blocks (1.6) and fifth in field goal percentage (51.5) . . . Finished fourth on UCO’s single-season chart for total blocks (46) and had two of the top single-game performances in school history -- second (six vs. East Central) and T-fourth (five vs. Angelo State) . . . Was an honorable mention All-LSC North Division pick . . . Earned LSC North Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors once each.
2008-10: Redshirted in 2008-09 at UCO and then didn’t play in 2009-10 after suffering knee injury during volleyball.
OSU: Played in 27 games in 2007-08, helping the Cowgirls to a 27-8 record and a national tournament berth . . . Averaged 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds a game while blocking 16 shots.
High School: Local star at Edmond Santa Fe High School . . . Led the Wolves to a state title in volleyball and a state runner-up finish in hoops . . . Averaged 18.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots a game as a senior and was named a Super Five selection and the Oklahoman All-Big City Player of the Year.
Personal: A management major . . . Enjoys singing and dancing among her hobbies . . . Brother (Josh) is a freshman basketball player at Tennessee . . . Birthdate is Jan. 24, 1989.
