Biography

Senior veteran and one of the top pitchers in the region who is primed to finish her career in style this spring . . . Has been a workhorse for the Bronchos the past two years and should be again in 2012 while seeing major duty as both a starter and reliever . . . Has command of several pitches and is a durable right-hander with excellent control . . . Ranks in the top five in three career categories at UCO -- fourth in innings pitched (418), fourth in strikeouts (311) and fifth in wins (35).

2011:  Appeared in 35 games with 24 starts, finishing 12-12 with three saves and a 2.64 earned run average . . . Threw a team-high 156 2/3 innings, striking out 127 while walking just 55 and limiting opponents to a .260 batting average . . . Tossed 13 complete games and had three shutouts, capped by a one-hit, five-strikeout, no-walk gem in 6-0 season-ending win over Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Also threw a four-hitter in 7-0 rout of Texas A&M International and a two-hitter in five-inning 8-0 run-rule rout of Cameron . . . Struck out seven-plus batters in six games, with a high of eight three times.

2010:  Gained first-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division honors after going 16-7 with two saves and a 2.45 ERA that ranked sixth-best in the league . . . Pitched a team-high 168 2/3 innings, striking out 144 batters while walking 65 . . . Was a two-time LSC North Division Pitcher of the Week winner . . .  Appeared in 37 games, making 25 starts and coming on in relief 12 times . . . Pitched at least five innings in 16 of 25 starts and had 14 complete games . . .  Struck out five-plus batters in 15 contests, collecting a season-high nine against both Eastern New Mexico and Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Had two shutouts on the season, giving up just four hits in an 8-0 rout of Texas Woman’s at the LSC Tournament while striking out five and walking one . . . Also blanked SOSU 1-0, scattering seven hits in seven innings to go along with seven strikeouts and one walk.

2009:  Appeared in 23 games with 14 starts and finished 7-6 with two saves and a 2.64 ERA . . . Tossed nine complete games and walked just 25 batters in 92 2/3 innings . . . Hurled back-to-back shutouts, giving up five hits and no walks while striking out five in a 2-0 win over Southwestern Oklahoma and then throwing a three-hitter in a 4-0 victory over Missouri Southern . . . Both saves came against Midwestern State.

High School:  All-Conference, Oklahoman Big All-City and All-State pick as a senior after leading Yukon High School to the state tournament.

Personal:  An advertising major and member of the UCO Dean's Honor Roll . . . Lists “A League of Their Own” as her favorite sports movie . . . Names the New York Yankees as her top professional team . . . Birthdate is Jan. 11, 1990.
