Biography

Senior veteran and team leader coming off a breakthrough season who is looking to end her career with a flourish . . . Was slowed by injuries while seeing extensive starting duty her first two years and then stayed healthy in becoming an offensive catalyst in 2010 . . . Can play any outfield position, but is set to be the top left fielder once again . . . Superb defender who covers lots of ground in the field and also a threat on the base paths . . . Left-handed slap hitter ready for another big season this spring . . . Has played in 125 games with 113 starts during her career.

2010:  Started all 53 games in left field and was a second-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division selection after hitting .340 with seven doubles, one triple and 22 runs batted in . . . Opened the season with a seven-game hitting streak, batting .545 (12-for-22) in that opening stretch to surpass her hit total of the first two seasons . . . Also had hitting streaks of eight and nine games and finished with 13 multi-hit games . . . Finished second on the team in stolen bases with nine . . . Was an all-tournament pick in the LSC Tournament and also earned Academic All-LSC North Division recognition . . . Committed just one error in the last 24 games . . . Drove in a career-high three runs in 9-5 victory over Abilene Christian in the LSC Crossover Tournament . . . . Had a pair of three-hit games, including a 3-for-3, two-RBI outing in early-season win over Northwest Missouri.

2009:  Played in 29 games and saw starting duty in center (14 games), left (11) and right (three) field . . . Batted .136 with seven runs scored . . . Had a key two-run single in 8-3 win over Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Made just one error in 26 fielding chances.

2008:  Started in 33 of 43 games played, most of that in right field . . . Only batted 39 times, finishing with a .179 average while scoring eight runs . . . Finished the season with a 23-game error-less streak.

High School:  All-District, All-Conference and Oklahoman All-Big City selection as a senior at Midwest City High School.

Personal:  An education major and member of the UCO President’s Honor Roll looking to become an elementary teacher . . . Lists the Boston Red Sox as her favorite professional team . . . Names “For Love of the Game” as her top sports movie . . . Birthdate is July 28, 1989.
