Senior slugger with a wide range of offensive skills set to also see action in the pitching circle this spring . . . Wil probably be the main designated player once again, a left-handed hitter with great patience who is expected to be a major run-producer . . . Didn't pitch last season, but showcased a variety of pitches in the fall and should be used in a relief role . . . Played two years at Oklahoma Christian and then sat out the 2007 season before coming to UCO last year.

2008:  Started in all 52 games and ended up a second-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division selection at DP after hitting .303 with six doubles, two home runs and 19 RBI . . . Had nine multi-hit games and struck out only 13 times in 132 at bats . . . Tied a single-season school record for walks (27) and finished with a team-leading .426 on-base percentage . . . Had two-plus walks in six games, drawing three on two occasions . . . Slammed a two-run homer in a 3-2 win over eventual LSC North champion Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Played first base in six games and didn't make an error in 38 fielding chances.

OC:  Second-team NAIA All-American as a freshman and a two-time first-team All-Conference and All-Region selection for the Eagles.

High School:  Local star at Deer Creek High School, leading the Antlers to one state title and earning All-State honors as a senior.

Personal:  A nursing major . . . Married (Jeff) . . . Mother (Rhonda Lawson) was a softball standout for the Bronchos in the 1980s and sister (Kayla) is currently playing at North Texas . . . Birthdate is April 7, 1986.
