Biography

Record-setting senior star and one of the elite pitchers in NCAA Division II . . . Came in as a Division I transfer last year and was a dominating force in the circle as UCO captured its first-ever national championship . . . Hard-throwing left-hander with great control and a fierce competitor who knows what it takes to get the tough outs . . . Will once again be the team ace as the top starter while seeing some duty in relief . . . Can also help the team out at the plate and may get playing time at first base when not pitching . . . Is poised for a fabulous final season and will definitely vie for All-America honors.

2013:  Put together a sensational season in leading the Bronchos to a 51-11 record and the Division II national championship . . . Finished 34-6 with 312 strikeouts and a tidy 1.69 earned run average in earning second-team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and All-Central Region honors . . . Set a conference and school record for wins while also establishing school marks for strikeouts and innings pitched (265 2/3) . . . Overwhelmed opponents during UCO’s 9-0 run in the national tournament, earning all nine wins while pitching every inning (61) . . . Had a 1.03 ERA in the post-season, giving up just 16 runs -- nine earned -- and walked only nine while striking out 80 . . . Was named Most Valuable Player of the Division II World Series after finishing with a 1.00 ERA and 40 strikeouts in four games . . . Fanned 15 in 5-2 opening-round win over Armstrong Atlantic, struck out five and didn’t allow an earned run in 7-1 second-round victory over Molloy and sat down six batters in 14-1 semifinal run-rule rout of Armstrong . . . Saved the best for last, striking out 14 while giving up five hits and one walk in 5-2 nine-inning finals win over Kutztown . . . Had 37 starts for the season with 32 complete games and also pitched 10 games in relief, earning four saves . . . Tossed six shutouts, including a four-hitter in 2-0 victory over Minot State in first round of the Central Regional . . . Other shutouts came against Minnesota State-Mankato, Cameron, Missouri Southern, Oklahoma Christian and Lincoln . . . Struck out 10-plus batters 10 times, collecting a season-high 16 in 4-0 win over Cameron . . . Batted .200 with five hits in 25 at bats in limited time at the plate, most of that damage coming in 3-for-4, one-homer, four-RBI outing against Truman State.

Tulsa:  Had an immediate impact as a freshman in 2010, finishing 10-5 with one save and a 2.60 ERA while pitching in 27 games with 10 starts . . . Struck out 121 batters in 91 ¾ innings -- fanning 15 in one complete-game start -- and tossed three shutouts as a rookie before redshirting in 2011 . . . Came back in 2012 to see action in 20 games as both a starter and reliever, going 3-2 with one save and a 3.64 ERA as the Golden Hurricane went 42-14 and made the Division I national tournament.

High School:  All-Conference MVP and an All-Stater as a senior at Choctaw High School . . . Finished 28-4 with an 0.27 ERA while racking up 340 strikeouts in 209 innings and throwing 22 shutouts her final season.

Personal:  History education major . . . Father (Dan) wrestled at Oklahoma State . . . Enjoys hunting as a hobby . . . Has a one-year-old daughter (Rylie) . . . Birthdate is Dec. 22, 1990.
