Biography


In her second year of helping the Central Oklahoma softball program is graduate assistant coach Jordan Akin, a four-year letterwinner for the Bronchos who ended her career in 2006.

Akin saw action as both a starter and reliever in the pitching circle for UCO, appearing in 74 games during her career with 55 starts. She walked only 81 batters in 298. 1 career innings and finished with a 2.09 earned run average.

Jordan’s best season came in 2004 when she earned second-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division recognition after going 7-10 with three saves and a 1.27 ERA.

Akin, a Yukon High School graduate, is working on her master's in education.
