Sixth-year senior set to be a rare five-year starter as the main catcher … Earned hardship ruling after missing 2017 season to injury and gained extra year of eligibility when 2020 campaign was shorted by coronavirus pandemic … Tireless worker and vocal team leader who has played in 177 games with 166 starts during stellar career … Ranks as the team’s best bunter, but also owns good power and can be a key offensive force for the Bronchos … Outstanding defender behind the plate, having made just five errors in 661 career chances … Will also see some starting duty at designated player … Started as a true freshman in 2016, then missed the next year before returning to the field in 2018 … Ranks eighth in career doubles at UCO with 38 and has 114 runs batted in, needing three to move into the top 10 of that all-time list.

2020: Started 15 games at catcher and 10 at DP in COVID-shortened season … Hit .225 with six doubles and 15 RBI, nine of those coming with two outs … Had team-leading six sacrifice bunts and made just one error in 94 fielding chances … Batted .375 (3-for-8) with the bases loaded … Went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBI in 15-0 rout of East Central.

2019: Started all 56 games at catcher, finishing with .241 average, 15 doubles, three home runs and 40 RBI … Had 12 multi-RBI and eight multi-hit games … Batted sizzling .689 (19-for-28) with runner on third and less than two outs … Had 12 two-out RBI … Drove in four runs in 7-5 win over Oklahoma Christian and had two other three-RBI outings … Led the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in sacrifice bunts (11).

2018: Honorable mention All-MIAA selection after hitting .252 with seven doubles, two homers and 19 RBI … Was perfect in the field with no errors in 203 chances, tying the school record for best fielding percentage … Played in 47 games with 45 starts, all of those coming at catcher … Had five multi-RBI and three multi-hit games … Belted pinch-hit grand slam in fifth inning to key come-from-behind 9-6 win over Southeastern Oklahoma ... Drove in 11 runs with two outs.

2017: Missed season to injury.

2016: Played in 49 games with 40 starts, 26 at catcher and 14 at DP … Finished with a .350 average that included 10 doubles, six homers, three triples and 40 RBI … Had 13 multi-RBI and 11 multi-hit games … Put together 11- and seven-game hitting streaks … Went 3-for-4 with a double, homer and three RBI in win over Oklahoma Baptist . . . Had 3-for-3, two-double outing against Fort Hays State … Keyed 8-7 walk-off win over Central Missouri in first round of MIAA Tournament with lead-off double in bottom of the ninth inning … Hit clutch .418 (23-for-55) with two outs … Had team-best .993 fielding percentage, making just one error in 138 chances.

High School: Four-time All-District selection at Stillwater High School, finishing career with .433 average, 17 homers and 78 RBI … Earned All-Region and All-State honors as a senior … Also a two-year basketball letterwinner for the Pioneers.
