Jordan Dixon joined the Central Oklahoma softball program in 2020-21 as pitching coach and has helped lead the Bronchos to a stellar 181-50 record the past four seasons.

Five UCO pitchers have earned All-MIAA honors under Jordan’s tutelage, with three garnering All-Central Region recognition and two receiving All-America accolades.

UCO went 36-14 during Dixon’s first season in 2021, winning the MIAA regular season title and qualifying for the NCAA Division II national tournament.

The Bronchos were even better in 2022, finishing 48-13 and making it the Sweet 16 of the national tournament. UCO was runner-up in the league, then won the Central Region II Tournament before falling to eventual national champion Rogers State in the Central Super Regional.

Dixon helped guide the Bronchos to more success in 2023 as UCO made it all the way to the Division II World Series in winning a school-record 54 games (54-9). Central won the MIAA regular season and tournament titles before taking the Central Regional crown in making it to the World Series for the first time since 2013, going 2-2 there in making the final four.

Head coach Cody White along with assistants Jon Hunter and Dixon were named the Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year by the NFCA for 2023.

Dixon helped the Bronchos to another successful season in 2024, with UCO going 43-14 while advancing to the national tournament for the fourth straight year.

An Edmond North High School product, Dixon was a four-year pitching standout at NCAA Division I Marshall from 2013-17 and then played professionally in the American Softball Association and in various leagues across Europe.

Jordan enjoyed a record-setting career at Marshall, where she earned All-Conference USA honors all four years. She was also a three-time All-Region pick and garnered NFCA All-America recognition as a senior in 2017 when she was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Year.

Dixon ranked in the top 10 in the country in strikeouts, wins and innings pitched three times. She finished with 23 season and career school records at Marshall, including wins (108), strikeouts (1,115) and innings pitched (1,074.2). 

Jordan was a prep standout at Edmond North, leading the Huskies to the state championship as a senior.

She has two sisters that both played softball at Arkansas and three brothers that wrestled collegiately.

Dixon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Marshall.
