Hailey Neira joined the University of Central Oklahoma softball program in 2025 and serves as an assistant coach.

In her first season with the Bronchos, the team made it to the NCAA Division II Super Regional tournament and ended with an overall record of 46-16. UCO finished second in regular season and reached the semifinals in the MIAA Championship tournament. She helped coach 11 All-MIAA selections, including a pair of All-Region selections and an All-American.

Neira, originally from San Antonio, Texas, came to Central Oklahoma from Southwestern Oklahoma State, where she served as an assistant coach in her first year of coaching. Neira spent the previous three years playing in the MIAA for Washburn after transferring there following her freshman season at West Texas A&M.

At Washburn, she made 72 starts in 104 career games during her three years there (2022-24). At West Texas, she started 54 of 55 games as a freshman in the 2021 season that ended with a national championship.

Neira earned her bachelor's degree in sports management from Washburn and also earned a minor in business. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports management.
