Biography

Team leader and senior standout back for another tour of duty at second base . . . One of the best fielding second basemen in the region, a crafty veteran with great consistency who can make all the plays . . . Moved to second as a freshman after playing catcher in high school and has been a steadying influence for the Bronchos ever since . . . Fierce competitor who can also be a key offensive sparkplug and is looking to end her career with a flourish . . . Has started in 137 of 139 games played during her career, including the last 133 straight.

2011:  Started every game (48), hitting .248 with eight doubles, four home runs and 26 runs batted in . . . Had seven multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games, including four-RBI outings in wins over Missouri Western and Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Ripped a two-run double in top of seventh inning to give UCO a 5-4 road win over Southeastern Oklahoma . . . Opened the season with a six-game hitting streak, batting .438 (7-for-16) with seven RBI in that stretch . . . Was hit by pitch a team-high 15 times, getting plunked twice in a game four times . . . Committed just five errors while finishing with a stellar .969 fielding percentage.

2010:  Started all 53 games and was a first-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division pick . . . Finished with a .313 average that included nine doubles, two homers and 16 RBI . . . Had a team-high .429 on-base percentage, getting hit by pitch a league-leading 18 times while also drawing 10 walks . . . Made just seven errors in finishing with a .961 fielding percentage and was second on the team in assists with 75 . . . Committed just one error in the last 25 games, finishing the season with a 12-game error-less streak . . . Earned all-tournament honors at the LSC Tournament after hitting .375 (6-for-16) in five games while going perfect in the field . . . Had 11 multi-hit games, including a 3-for-3 performance against Texas Woman’s.

2009:  Took over at second early in the season and went on to start 36 of 39 games in earning second-team All-LSC North Division honors . . . Batted .221 with five doubles and nine RBI in addition to getting hit by pitch a team-high 12 times . . . Helped spark a doubleheader sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma with a 4-for-6 day at the plate . . . Was second on the team in assists (66) and put together a 22-game error-less streak.

High School:  All-Conference catcher at Carl Albert High School, helping lead the Titans to a pair of state championships.

Personal:  A community health major looking to become a nurse . . . Class Valedictorian at CAHS . . . Father (Ron) played baseball at Oklahoma, while one brother (Ryan) was a soccer player at Southwestern Oklahoma and another (Brent) a baseball player at Oklahoma City . . . Lists the Boston Red Sox as her favorite professional team . . . Names “Bull Durham” as her top sports movie . . . Birthdate is Jan. 19, 1990.
