Senior veteran ready to handle the bulk of the first-base duties for the second straight season . . . Came in as a junior college transfer last year and started from the outset . . . Left-handed hitter who can be a prime offensive weapon for the Bronchos and also a stellar defender who doesn't make mistakes in the field . . . Has assumed a leadership role and is being counted on for a big season in 2009.

2008: Started all 52 games, finishing with a .257 average that included eight doubles, two home runs and 20 runs batted in . . . Had nine multi-hit games and batted .391 (18-for-46) during one 16-game stretch, scoring 11 runs and collecting six of her eight doubles . . . Finished with a team-best .989 fielding percentage, making just four errors in 348 chances . . . Had 11 games with 10 or more putouts and ended the season with a 19-game error-less streak.

Juco:  Two-time All-Region selection at Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa . . . Batted .384 with five home runs and 32 RBI to be named team MVP as a sophomore . . . Member of the Dean’s Honor Roll.

High School:  Softball standout at Perkins-Tryon High School, becoming the first player in school history to earn All-State honors after batting .440 as a senior . . . Four-time All-District selection for the Demons.

Personal:  A speech pathology major and member of the UCO President's Honor Roll . . . Grandfather (Weldon Haney) is a member of the National Softball Hall of Fame . . . Names Jessica Mendoza as her favorite sports star . . . Younger sister (Brittany) is a freshman teammate . . . Birthdate is June 23, 1987.
