Biography

Senior star who ranks as one of the finest players in NCAA Division II . . . Multi-talented veteran set to start at catcher this season after earning All-America honors at second base last year . . . A versatile performer capable of playing virtually anywhere, Roberts has also seen action at shortstop, third base and the outfield during her splendid career . . . An outstanding offensive threat who can hit for power and average while also showcasing great speed and a strong throwing arm . . . Has been a consistent force the last three years for the Bronchos and is a fierce competitor poised for a monster senior season . . . Enters the spring ranked fourth on the school's career home run chart with 20, needing eight to break the record . . . Also needs eight runs batted in, 15 runs and 29 hits to move into the top-five on those all-time UCO lists.

2008:  Enjoyed a sensational junior season en route to becoming UCO's first All-American since 1997, earning third-team honors on the American Fast-pitch Coaches Association (AFCA) squad . . . Was also a first-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division selection and a first-team All-South Central pick by both the AFCA and Daktronics . . . Batted .375  and scored a school-record 46 runs while finishing second on the school's single-season list for hits (63) and homers (11) and fourth for at bats (168) . . . Added 11 doubles, three triples and 32 RBI in addition to stealing 12 bases . . . Led the team with 21 multi-hit games -- including one string of four straight -- and had hitting streaks of seven, eight and 12 games . . . Hit .500 (19-for-38) with four homers, 12 runs and 10 RBI during the 12-game hitting streak . . . Was named LSC North Division Player of the Week in mid-March after batting .538 (7-for-13) with two homers, four runs and four RBI in a four-game sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Hit a robust .456 (36-for-79) in 24 LSC North Division games with a .823 slugging percentage and .488 on-base percentage . . . Scored 25 runs and slugged seven homers against LSC North opponents.

2007:  Earned honorable mention All-LSC North Division honors after batting .320 with seven homers and 25 RBI . . . Led the team with 10 doubles and finished second in slugging percentage (.578), RBI, home runs and total bases (74) . . . Had 11 multi-hit games and drove in at least two run seven times . . . Slugged a pair of homers and had eight RBI during four-game series with Cameron . . . Hit .526 (10-for-19) with two runs scored and one RBI to help spark UCO’s run to the LSC Tournament finals, picking up all-tournament recognition.

2006:  Batted .325 with two home runs and 12 RBI as a rookie . . . Had eight multi-hit games and batted .400 (10-for-25) with four RBI and seven runs scored in seven postseason games . . . Went 6-for-14 (.429) with two RBI and five runs in the South Central Regional and belted a solo homer against Emporia State at the World Series.

High School:  Multi-sport athlete at Pawnee High School . . . All-State selection in softball and lettered in track and cheerleading.

Personal:  A finance major looking to become a financial adviser . . . Enjoys skiing and dancing among her favorite off-field activities . . . Lists Derek Jeter as her favorite sports star . . . Birthdate is Sept. 1, 1986.
