Biography

Sophomore pitcher expected to see action in a middle relief role this spring . . . Right-hander with excellent control who came on strong late last season in picking up much-needed experience and will continue to improve with more playing time.

2016:  Didn’t appear in the first 23 games as a possible redshirt and then pitched in 16 of the final 37 contests with six starts . . . Finished 6-2 with two saves and a solid 2.52 earned run average . . . Struck out 31 batters and walked just eight in 50 innings . . . Picked up first career win against Fort Hays State after tossing six shutout innings of two-hit relief while fanning season-high seven . . . Had one complete game seven-inning outing, giving up just six hits and one run with no walks in 3-1 win over Emporia State . . . Gained saves against St. Mary’s and Central Missouri.
 
High School:  Three-time All-District pick at Idabel High School . . . Finished with a .432 career average at the plate and tidy 1.07 earned run average in the pitching circle.
 
Personal:  Language pathology major . . . Salutatorian of senior class at IHS . . . Names the Texas Rangers as her favorite professional team . . . Lists Cody Johnson as her top musician . . . Names “Benchwarmers” as her favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is March 7, 1997.
