Biography

Hard-nosed senior veteran set to spearhead the defense from his middle linebacker position . . . Team leader and a fierce competitor who the Bronchos are counting on for a big season . . . Intelligent player and a proven performer with the ability to be a defensive stopper . . . Was slowed by a variety of injuries last year, but is healthy now and ready to finish his career in style . . . Transferred to UCO in 2009 and earned a hardship ruling after suffering injury in season opener.

2011:  Played in seven games with four starts while slowed by injury and finished with 25 tackles, including 2.5 for loss . . . Made a season-high nine tackles against Northeastern State and had five stops in season finale against Lindenwood.
2010:  Honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference North Division pick after racking up 89 tackles, second-best on the team . . . Made a team-high 49 solo stops, which ranks ninth on UCO’s single-season list . . . Had 13-tackle outings against Pittsburg State and Midwestern State, adding an interception in MSU contest . . . Also had double-digit stops against Texas A&M-Commerce (11), East Central (10) and Southwestern Oklahoma (10).

Oklahoma:  Spent two years with the Sooners, redshirting in 2007 and spending 2008 as a squadman.

High School:  Ranked third in the state with 145 tackles as a senior at Norman High School . . . Picked up All-District, All-Conference, Oklahoman Big All-City and All-State recognition while also ranked as the 16th-best inside linebacker in the country by ESPN.com . . . Also a track standout for the Tigers in the 100-meter dash, shot put and discus.

Personal:  A pre-physical therapy major and member of UCO Dean's Honor Roll . . . Names the Baltimore Ravens as his top professional team . . . Tabs "Any Given Sunday" as his favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is June 5, 1988.
