Biography

Injury-plagued senior ready to get back on the field . . . Has missed eight games the past two years with injury and sat out spring practice, but is expected back at full strength for the fall . . . Hard-hitting veteran with the talent and experience to be a key force at safety.
 
2013:  Was the team’s second-leading tackler with 57 total stops, including 31 unassisted . . . Had six tackles in season opener at Missouri Southern, then sat out the next game to injury . . . Returned to play the next six games, starting five, before missing the final two contests . . . Racked up career-high 14 tackles (10 solo) with a tackle for loss and forced fumble against Central Missouri . . . Made 10 tackles (seven solo) in win over Lincoln.
 
2012:  Had five tackles in season-opener against Missouri Southern before missing the next five games to injury . . . Returned with eight-tackle outing at Central Missouri while also breaking up a pass . . . Ended the season with 11-tackle outing against Northeastern State . . . Made 33 tackles in five games.
 
2011:  Saw significant playing time the first seven games and then started the final four contests in finishing with 32 tackles . . . Had 3.0 tackles for loss with one sack along with three broken up passes, one forced fumble and one blocked kick . . . Made season-high seven tackles and broke up a pass in first-ever start against Fort Hays State . . . Blocked a punt that led to a field goal in win over Black Hills State.
 
High School:  Earned All-District and All-Region honors as a senior at Duncanville (Texas) High School after recording more than 80 tackles with three forced fumbles and an interception . . . Also a track standout.
 
Personal:  Business management major . . . Names ‘‘Any Given Sunday” as his favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is Aug. 5, 1992.
