Returning starter who will be a defensive stalwart at a linebacker slot this fall . . . Had a breakthrough season last year and is a steadying influence on the field . . . Smart player who doesn’t make mistakes and a team leader aiming for a banner senior season . . . Has gotten better every season and the success of last year should push this veteran to even greater heights in 2009.

2008:  Started all season and finished as the team’s leading tackler with 89 total stops in earning honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference North Division recognition . . . Made 11 tackles in three different games and had another 10-tackle outing . . . Had 11 stops (eight solo) with a forced fumble and tackle for loss in season-ending win over Northeastern State . . . Also had 11 tackles against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Southwestern Oklahoma and made 10 stops with 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery vs. West Texas A&M . . . Recorded first career intereption in late-season win over East Central.

2007:  Played in all 10 games and ended with 12 tackles, including one of loss . . . Had three-tackle outings against Angelo State, Eastern New Mexico and Northeastern State.

2006:  Lettered in a back-up role and had one tackle on the season.

High School:  Football standout at Lawton Eisenhower High School . . . Made 150 tackles as a senior to earn All-District, Lawton Constitution All-Area and All-State honors . . . Also competed in track.

Personal:  A criminal justice major . . . Birthdate is Nov. 3, 1987.
