Biography

Veteran presence at safety has played in all 35 games for the Bronchos over the past three seasons ... Became a regular starter ahead of junior season and flourished in the role ... Set a UCO single season record with 70 solo tackles in 2016 ... Was fifth in the MIAA in solo tackles and 11th in the league in total stops ... Talented versatile athlete who can come up and make plays as well as defend the pass ... Doesn't let ball carriers go by.

2016: Played in all 11 games for the Bronchos and made 11 starts at safety ... Had 91 tackles including a UCO single season record 70 solo tackles ... Made 1.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage ... Had one interception against Northwest Missouri ... Had two pass break-ups ... Had career-high 12 tackles against Missouri Western ... Had 10 tackles against both Central Missouri and Washburn ... Never had fewer than five tackles in one game last season.

2015: Finished with 13 tackles in a back-up role at strong safety ... Tied a career-high with four tackles in road rout of Northeastern State ... Had three stops in win over Missouri Southern.

2014: Made 16 tackles, intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble while playing in all 12 games ... Had three tackles and first career interception in road rout of Nebraska-Kearney ... Contributed career-high four tackles – all solo stops – and picked off a pass in late-season road win over Lindenwood.

2013:  Sat out redshirt year.

High School: Two-time All-League pick at defensive back and named All-State at both defensive back and quarterback as a senior at Sterling (Kan.) High School ... Compiled 2,700 yards of total offense his final season and racked up 300 career tackles ... Also lettered in basketball and track, helping basketball team to state title as a junior.

Personal: History education major ... Was president of Letterman’s Club at SHS ... Birthdate is Oct. 11, 1994.
