Biography

Multi-talented senior ready to stake his claim as one of the elite linebackers in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association . . . Was one of the team’s top defenders last year as a part-time starter and will move into a full-time role this season . . . Sensational athlete with great speed and big-play capability who is poised for a banner final season . . . Redshirted in 2013 after coming to UCO as a late-summer transfer from Navarro (Texas) College.
 
2014:  Picked up honorable mention All-MIAA recognition after collecting 72 tackles – third-best on the team – with 4.5 for loss . . . Knocked down four passes and intercepted one while also recovering a fumble and blocking one kick . . . Had six-plus tackles in six games with a trio of double-digit outings . . . Racked up season-high 13 tackles with one for loss and a fumble recovery in triple-overtime win over Missouri Southern . . . Made 12 stops with two passes broken up and lone interception against league co-champion Northwest Missouri . . . Had 10 tackles (eight solo) with 2.0 for loss in win over Emporia State.
 
2013:  Sat out redshirt year.
 
Juco:  Had 35 tackles with five sacks as a sophomore at Navarro.
 
High School:  All-District pick and defensive MVP as a senior at Yates High School in Houston . . . Piled up 109 tackles with two interceptions, returning one 76 yards for a touchdown . . . Also an All-District performer in track.
 
Personal:  Kinesiology major . . . Names ‘‘The Waterboy” as his favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is Feb. 18, 1993.
