Biography

Junior standout aiming for a big season in 2011 . . . Came to UCO last year and took over as the starter at strong safety from the outset . . . Was a consistent performer all season for the Bronchos and will be even more of a force in the secondary this fall . . . Played one season at Tulsa before sitting out a year and then coming to UCO.

2010: Was the third-leading tackler on the team with 87 stops, including 2.5 tackles for loss, three passes broken up and one interception . . . Claimed second-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division recognition . . . Made at least five tackles in all 11 games and had three contests with 10-plus stops, topped by a 12-tackle effort in season finale at Angelo State . . . Other double-digit tackle outings came against Northeastern State (11) and Eastern New Mexico (10) . . . Made eight tackles with one for loss along with a PBU and quarterback hurry at Incarnate Word . . . Interception came in home win over East Central.

TU: Played in 11 games for the Hurricane as a true freshman in 2008, making nine tackles with one sack.

High School: All-District and All-Conference selection as a senior at Del City High School.

Personal: An accounting major . . . Includes singing among his favorite hobbies . . . Names the Oakland Raiders as his top professional team . . . Lists ”Rudy” as his favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is Feb. 2, 1990.
