Biography

Junior All-American linebacker and team captain ready to lead the MIAA champions back on the field in 2025 ... Fourth year in the program and is one of the best defenders in the country ... Strong and physical player that can find the ball and make a play ... Is good in coverage and can shut down the run game ... Was ready to compete during true freshman season before an early season injury prompted a redshirt ... Put up big numbers in year two and then it all came together with an All-American sophomore season ... Will lead the team once again this fall, both on and off the field. 

2024: Played and started all 13 games for the Bronchos ... Led the team to its first MIAA title since joining the league 12 years earlier ... Guided UCO back to the playoffs for the first time in 20 years and helped Central secure a home playoff game in the first round ... Was the team leader in tackles, tackles for a loss, and sacks, dictating every game from his middle linebacker position ... Finished the season with 102 tackles, racking up 55 solo stops and 47 assisted tackles ... Had a team-high 15 tackles behind the line of scrimmage for a total loss of 69 yards ... Of those 15 stops in the backfield, seven of them were QB sacks ... He had 11 tackles and three sacks in a win over Northeastern State in Week 7 ... Career-high 15 tackles against Pittsburg State in Week 8 ... Also had a dozen tackles against Emporia State in Week 11 as the Bronchos wrapped up the MIAA title ... Posted eight tackles against Ouachita Baptist in the playoffs in Edmond and then seven tackles at Ferris State in the second round finale ... Also credited with five QB hurries on the year and forced one fumble ... Batted down three passes in coverage ... Named First Team All-MIAA Linebacker ... Earned First Team All-Region honors as well ... Named First Team All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association and Honorable Mention All-American by the Don Hansen Football Gazzette ... Member of the MIAA Honor Roll. 

2023: Played in all 11 games as a redshirt freshman and made eight starts at linebacker ... Ranked second on the team with 62 tackles ... Led the Bronchos with 10.5 tackles for a loss and tied for ninth in the MIAA bringing down ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage ... Had 3.5 sacks in the backfield ... Recorded 26 solo tackles and 36 assisted tackles ... Credited with four QB hurries and also had one forced fumble ... Had a seven-tackle game in Week 2 but finished the year with seven consecutive games with at least five tackles Weeks 5-11 ... Season-high 13 tackles in Week 11 at Pittsburg State ... Also finished the season with six consecutive games with a tackle in the backfield ... That stretch started at Northwest Missouri, where he had five tackles, 2.5 for a loss, and one sack ... Had another solo sack in Week 7 and had three games with a half-sack ... Forced a fumble in Week 9 game at Fort Hays State. 

2022: Sat out redshirt season.

High School: Won four state championships at Bixby High School, including the last two at UCO's Chad Richison Stadium ... Also competed in wrestling and was a two-time state qualifier ... Earned All-State honors and was named Defensive Player of the Year by The Oklahoman at the Jim Thorpe Banquet. 

Personal: Accounting major ... Serves as co-Vice President for UCO's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) ... Young brother (Hank) is freshman teammate ... Enjoys going to the lake and hunting ... Birthdate is Dec. 12, 2003.
