Biography

Returning starter and senior defensive back set to be the main strong safety this season . . . Was a starting cornerback last year before moving to safety in the spring . . . Missed several games to injury last season, but is fully healthy now and will be play crucial role in the secondary . . . Has shown a knack for making game-changing big plays and ranks among the best in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association . . . Came to UCO for spring drills in 2014 after impressive two-year career at Bakersfield (Calif.) College.
 
2014:  Started the first seven games before suffering injury and saw limited action in the final five contests . . . Was an honorable mention All-Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Association selection after finishing with 22 tackles, five broken up passes and a team-high four interceptions, returning two of those for touchdowns . . . Picked off two passes, broke up another and made three solo tackles in win over Missouri Western to earn MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honors . . . Returned first of those two interceptions 41 yards to set up a short field goal late in the first half and then capped the 26-17 win with a 42-yard TD return on the game’s final play . . . Also scoring on 89-yard interception return against Nebraska-Kearney while adding two solo tackles, two PBUs and a fumble recovery . . . Made season-high eight tackles in win over Emporia State while breaking up a pass and picking off another in the end zone.

Juco:  Two-year starter, helping lead the Renegades to juco state championship during rookie season and earning Region IV All-California honors as a sophomore.
 
High School:  Multi-sport star at Highland High School in Bakersfield . . . Earned first-team All-League honors in football, basketball and track.
 
Personal:  Kinesiology major looking to become a personal trainer . . . Names the Arizona Cardinals as his top professional team . . . Lists ‘‘Friday Night Lights” as his favorite sports movie . . . Birthdate is Jan. 14, 1994.
