Brandon Lechtenberg

Brandon Lechtenberg joined the University of Central Oklahoma football coaching staff in 2022 and coaches the linebacker position group in his second season with the Bronchos, in addition to serving as defensive coordinator.

In his first season, Lechtenberg helped Central Oklahoma to a 6-5 record. It was the first winning season at UCO since 2018. The Bronchos had three players from the defensive side of the ball named to the All-MIAA teams. 
 
Lechtenberg came to UCO from Incarnate Word (Texas) where he served as an assistant coach working with the same position group. He also assisted with special teams there.
 
Lechtenberg, who is from Butte, Neb., has made stops at UT-Martin, Millsaps College, and Texas Christian.
 
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Nebraska and his master’s degree from TCU.
 
Lechtenberg is married (Dee Anna) and has three children (Irene, Jayne, Harris). His brother (Adam) also joined the UCO staff in 2022 before accepting the head coach position at Central Connecticut in January 2023.
