Adam Lechtenberg joined the University of Central Oklahoma football coaching staff in 2022 and will coach the quarterback position in his first season, in addition to handling co-offensive coordinator responsibilities.
 
Lechtenberg comes to Central Oklahoma from Virginia Tech, where he spent the past five seasons as an assistant. Lechtenberg coached running backs at VT in addition to handling several responsibilities in the football office including player development, scholarship allocations and the walk-on program.
 
Lechtenberg worked for one season at UT-Martin in 2016 following a four-year stretch at Memphis from 2012-15. He has also coached at Central Connecticut State, Texas Christian and Wayne State.
 
A native of Butte, Neb., Lechtenberg graduated from Nebraska in 2002. His brother (Brandon) also joined the UCO staff in 2022 and coaches the linebackers.
