Biography

Left-handed relief pitcher set to help out on the mound in 2011 . . . Senior veteran who saw limited action last year, but has made drastic improvement and looks to play a bigger role this spring.

2010:  Appeared in 11 games, all in relief, and went 0-1 with a 10.00 earned run average . . . Longest stint was 3 1/3 innings against Southwestern Oklahoma.

Juco:  Played two years as a pitcher-first baseman at Redlands Community College . . . Went 3-0 on the mound as a freshman in 2007 and then redshirted the next year before coming back to hit .350 with four home runs and 42 RBI as a sophomore in 2009.

High School:  All-State pick in baseball as a senior at Weatherford High School, going 20-9 his last two years . . . Also earned All-District honors in football and basketball for the Eagles.

Personal:  A physical education major looking to become a teacher and coach . . . Names the Boston Red Sox as his favorite professional team . . . Lists “Major League” as his top sports movie . . . Birthdate is Oct. 22, 1987.
