Ed Kabrick

In his 11th year at Central Oklahoma as Head Athletic Trainer is Ed Kabrick, who came to Edmond in July 2011 after a 10-year stint at Eastern New Mexico, where he is a member of the school's athletic hall of fame. A certified athletic trainer, he is responsible for all 14 of UCO's varsity teams.

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Kabrick graduated from Drake in 1985 and earned a master’s degree in 1988 from Illinois State. He took over as head trainer at Illinois College in the fall of 1989 and served the Des Moines junior “A” hockey team in the 1989-90 seasons.

Kabrick went to Northeastern State as head trainer at NSU in 1990 and spent three years with the RiverHawks. He served as  an adjunct professor at NSU's Muskogee Campus from 1993-2001 while also coordinating the Tulsa Regional Sports Medicine, working with 26 area high schools, the Tulsa Ballet, Longhorn World Championship Rodeo, IFR 25 and 26 Finals.

Ed moved to ENMU in 2001 as head athletic trainer and spent 10 years there, providing the training services for that 12-sport NCAA Division II program as well as teaching six hours in the HPE Department.

He is married (Jackie), has one daughter (Megan) and one granddaughter.
