Hamilton Field House is home to 10 of 14 NCAA sports at the University of Central Oklahoma. Built in 1965 and once home to the entire athletics department, the facility also serves as host to numerous campus events, including commencement ceremonies in the fall and spring, as well as other concerts, camps, clinics, and more.
Named in 1993 after longtime coach and Athletic Director Dale E. Hamilton, the facility hosts volleyball matches in the fall, and wrestling and men's and women's basketball games in the winter. Hamilton Field House also houses offices for Central's coaching staffs of the men's and women's basketball programs, men's and women's golf programs, soccer, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, and track & field and cross country.
In 2019, Hamilton Field House saw significant changes when the north half of the building was renovated. The previous wrestling room, strength & conditioning room, and former swimming pool were all demolished. A new wrestling room, featuring four full-sized official mats sprawls in place of its former self and is one of the largest training rooms of any program in the country. A secondary gym was also built on the north annex and offers training space for both basketball programs and the volleyball team.
New locker rooms were added for the wrestling team, and the men's basketball team in those two new areas. Volleyball, soccer, tennis, and women's basketball have their own state-of-the-art locker rooms too as part of the North Hamilton project. The track & field and cross country programs also locker in Hamilton before the train and compete in the Edmond area.
Hamilton Field House also includes an sports medicine office, training room, and rehab area. A 30-seat film room is also available for programs to use for both preparation and team bonding activities.
