Central Oklahoma plays all its home games at Gerry Pinkston Stadium, located on the north side of campus directly west of Hamilton Field House.
Following major renovations in late 2016 and into early 2017, the once standard field is now one of the finest softball facilities in the nation. And in 2021, the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association confirmed that by awarding Gerry Pinkston Stadium the NFCA Division II Softball Stadium of the Year.Â
The Bronchos play on artificial turf in an intimate, raised setting with room for nearly 350 spectators. A new top-of-the-line clubhouse was added on the first-base line with direct access to the dugout and the field. The clubhouse includes a lobby, coaches office, and a second-to-none locker room.
Batting and pitching cages, public restrooms, and a press box were also added. The press box has ample work space as well as a separate broadcast booth. UCO christened the renovated stadium on March 15, 2017.
The university renamed the facility from Broncho Field to Gerry Pinkston Stadium on Oct. 29, 2021 for former head coach Gerry Pinkston, who spent 22 years (1978-97) at the helm, finishing with a 455-319-1 career record. Pinkston, a member of the UCO Athletics Hall of Fame, led UCO to three national tournament appearances.
Central Oklahoma boasts a 481-156-1 all-time record in the facility that opened in 1994, including a 235-47 record at home under current head coach Cody White (2014-present).
