Junior veteran who provides great depth at heavyweight … Has shown he can handle the starting position after earning top spot at end of 2019-20 season … Strong, agile big man with 30-17 career record that includes 17 falls … Retained a year of eligibility after the NCAA didn’t count the shortened 2020-21 campaign.

2021-22: Saw extensive action in back-up role, going 16-9 with team-high 11 falls … Competed in five open tournaments, finishing runner-up in Golden Norse Open with 4-3 finals loss to junior college All-American Dan Baker of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M … Placed fourth in season-opening Dan Harris Open.

2020-21: Went 3-0 with one major decision in limited action.

2019-20: Didn’t compete in the first semester, then ended with 11-8 record that included six falls … Battled for starting berth throughout second semester and finally emerged on top at end of season … Won first-round match at Super Regional IV Tournament, but was eliminated with two straight close losses … Was runner-up at the Jet Open and took third at the Golden Norse Open.

2018-19: Made solid progress in the practice room during redshirt year.

High School: State champion as a senior at Putnam City High School ... Two-time state qualifier, finishing with 66-14 career record ... All-State selection his final year ... Also a four-year starter in football for the Pirates.
