Biography

Senior veteran looking to return from injury that ended promising junior campaign … Was off to superb start last year before injuring knee in first match of the NWCA Division II National Duals … Only wrestled once more before having season-ending surgery … Still recovering from that and may not be full strength until the second semester, but should vie for action and is looking to finish career strong … Spent freshman year at West Virginia before transferring to UCO and sitting out a redshirt season.

2019-20: Opened season as starter at 165 and was off to 16-4 start before getting injured and losing last two matches … Ended up 16-6 with seven bonus-point wins, including five falls … Had three first-period pins in fourth-place finish at Oklahoma City Open and was third in the Lindenwood Open … Had strong third-place finish in rugged Midwest Classic, earning two first-period falls and a pair of one-point wins.

2018-19: Put together 13-10 record with eight bonus-point wins at 157 … Finished fifth in the Nebraska-Kearney Open … Won four matches at the rugged Midwest Classic, including a pair of first-period falls.

2017-18: Competed in two open tournaments while redshirting, finishing 8-4 with three falls ... Went 4-2 at both the Nebraska-Kearney Open and Fort Hays State open, placing fourth at FHSU.

WVU: Started all season as a true freshman for the Mountaineers, finishing 3-21.

High School: Prep star for powerful Tuttle High School, accumulating a 145-26 career record while winning four regional championships . . . Three-time state finalist, winning one title, and an All-State pick following senior season . . . Helped lead Tigers to four straight state championships.

Personal: Nursing major . . . Enjoys wakeboarding in his spare time . . . Names the Oklahoma City Thunder as his favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is July 7, 1997.
